5 Fancy NYC Restaurants to Order Takeout From

(NYC Trend) — One of the things that NYC is known for is its cuisine and selection of restaurants. There is no shortage of variety when it comes to going out to eat in the world’s most famous city. Some of the most world renown and best-known restaurants are located within blocks of each other. Of course, the better the food means, the harder it is to get in and enjoy a meal, until now.

Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic and its forceful shutdown of indoor dining, some of the fanciest restaurants NYC has to offer have shifted to offering take out. Since this will not last forever, we wanted to provide you with five top-shelf NYC eateries that you can order out from before the pandemic is over.

#1 – Bohemian

57 Great Jones Street, New York, NY 10002

We start our list with a once exclusive Japanese eatery located in the East Village. If you don’t know about this place, it’s most likely because it is hidden behind a butcher shop. However, that hasn’t stopped nearly 300 Google Reviewers from giving it 4.7 stars. If you are quarantining with someone, you may want to try their ‘Dinner for 2” which includes two appetizers, one entree, and one rice dish. If you are dining solo, no worries, you can enjoy their popular Bohemian Washu-Beef Mini Burger.

#2 – Atoboy

43 East 28th St, New York, NY 10016

Next up on our premium cuisine journey is Atoboy. This Korean-inspired restaurant is located in the NoMad area and was founded by a husband and wife. It is the perfect choice for anyone looking to indulge in authentic Korean cuisine. Nearly 600 past customers have generously awarded this restaurant 4.7 stars. Some of their most popular items include Miyeok Guk, Gim Bugak, fishcakes, corn cheese, kimchi, gochujang chicken, and much more.

#3 – Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare

431 West 37th St, New York, NY 10018

Next on our list is Chef’s Table To Go with meals created by award-winning Chef Cesar Ramirez. This eatery itself is an award winner as it is listed as a three-Michelin-starred restaurant. Its world-famous Japanese and French menu is so popular that when it finally joined delivery service Caviar, the servers nearly crashed due to the high demand. Caviar lists their top sellers to include Sobacha Cake, Chicken Soup with Truffles and Foie Gras, and Wagyu Beef Ravioli with Seasonal Mushrooms and Parsley Root.

#4 – Marea

240 Central Park South, NY 10019

We continue our eating adventure and arrive at Marea, an Italian restaurant located in Central Park South. Similar to our previous restaurant, Marea can proclaim itself as an award winner by taking in Best New Restaurant in America when it first opened. Since then, it has garnered an impressive 4.5-star rating by the over 1,700 people who have dined there. This place usually is reservation only, so we suggest taking advantage of their shift to take out by ordering one of their staple items such as the red wine braised octopus and bone marrow fusilli.

#5 – Wayan

20 Spring Street, New York, NY 10012

We end our tour with Wayan, which serves French-accented Indonesian fare. The images on the website alone are enough to make your mouth water. After learning about the back story of this restaurant, you will understand why customers have given it 4.5 out of 5 stars. They are best known for their small plates of food, including vegetable spring rolls, cucumber mango salad, Soto Ayam, and more.

Living through a global pandemic is difficult and poses unique challenges. However, in this case, it can also present unique opportunities as well. You’ve been through enough in 2020. Go ahead and treat yourself and support local business by ordering from one of these word class establishments.
